We have a very friendly and knowledgeable staff here at Academy Pet Hospital. We are here to make your visit as easy and comfortable as possible. Our goal at Academy Pet Hospital is to educate pet owners about caring for their pets and advocate for our patients health and quality of life.
Marisol, Registered Veterinary Technician
My name is Marisol, and I have been in the field since 1998. I enjoy general practice, dentistry, and emergency medicine. I have 4 dogs, 1 cat, 1 tarantula, 1 guinea pig, 1 iguana, and 3 daughters. I love soccer, swimming, outdoor recreational activities, and yoga.
Rechelle, Veterinary Assistant
Rechelle is a Certified Veterinary Assistant who graduated from PIMA Medical Institute. She loves animals from big to small and strives to make their experience at Academy Pet Hospital as comfortable as possible! She owns two dogs named Missy and Roko. She enjoys the veterinary field and plans on furthering her career by becoming a certified veterinary technician or pursuing veterinary school.
Karen Celarie, Veterinary Assistant
Karen recently graduated as a certified Veterinary Technician from Brown Mackie College in November of 2014. She enjoys helping animals as well as educating clients on important information to further their care for their pets. She has one female dog named “Chikis” and one male cat named “Harley”. Certified technicians bring a high level of technical skill to a veterinary hospital as well as compassion for the human-animal bond. She has a special interest in handling and caring for exotic pets and regularly assists Dr. England with our exotic patients.
Cindy Stanfield, Client Care Coordinator
Cindy will greet you when you arrive at Academy and coordinate your pets care. She strives to make you and your pet’s visit as efficient and comfortable as possible. She was born and raised in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on a hobby farm with many, many farm and domestic animals. She studied Business Management at District One Technical Institute. She then worked for over 30 years in the banking industry followed by a career in county and state government. Cindy lived in Sarasota and Tampa, Florida for three and 10 years respectively. Then she, her husband, Don, and daughter, Caitlin, relocated to the Los Lunas, NE Mexico area in 1995. She has recently moved to Albuquerque, NM where she now lives with 4 Bassest Hounds, 1 Persian cat, and 1 ferret.
