F.A.T Katz is a non-profit local cat rescue, rehabilitation, foster, and adoption organization in Albuquerque. They rescue cats from locations across the state that are in in-human or euthanasia situations, then place them with foster parents until they are ready to be adopted through PetCo locations.

Academy Pet Hospital provides all medical care at-cost or for free for the cats and kittens while they are being fostered. This includes spaying/neutering, micro-chipping, vaccinations, deworming, testing for FeLV/FIV, and treating any illnesses. Academy Pet Hospital is dedicated to the well being of all animals whether they already have their forever-home or being fostered before finding a home. We love continuing treatment for this wonderful kitties after they are adopted and see them blossom in their new homes. If you would like to continue their care at Academy Pet Hospital after adopting please feel free to call us and receive your first exam free within the first year of adoption.

In support of rescue pets we also provide the first exam free within 30 days of adoption for pets from Animal Humane Association of Albuquerque and the Albuquerque Animal Welfare department. Other discounts apply for pets adopted from other rescues, please call us for further details.
